Carl Tucker, 95 Youngstown- Carl Tucker, 95, of McCullum Road, formerly of Renee Drive in Struthers died Wednesday morning at Camelot Arms. Mr. Tucker was born September 7, 1908 in Burleson, Texas, a son of Abner Smith and Martha Lula Stephens Tucker. He came to this area from Texas in 1999. He was an army veteran during World War II serving from November 3, 1943 until January 4, 1946. He was a Grounds Maintenance Supervisor for the University of Texas for 20 years retiring in 1971. Mr. Tucker was a member of the Church of Christ in Lagunna Park, Texas, where he served as their ground keeper. His first wife the former Hulda Clarkson whom he married May 9, 1946 died March 27, 1979. Besides his second wife the former Elva Mueller whom he married June 1980, he leaves eight step-daughters, Billie Cadman, with whom he lived, Nellie Smith of Toledo, Beverly Cutcher of Oak Harbor, Ohio, Maree Fanning, Bettie Tomlin, Chloe Foster all of Whitney, Texas, Ann Neal of McKinney, Texas and La Nelle Booth of Dallas, Texas; Thirty-four grandchildren and fifty-one great grandchildren and twenty great-great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by two stepsons, Troy Clarkson and Lloyd Turner and two brothers, Claudie and Lewis Tucker. Funeral service will be Friday, 2:00 p.m. at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers where friends may call from 12:45 until 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
