Carl Edward Hudoba

Carl Edward Hudoba, 74 Poland- Carl Edward Hudoba, 74, of 7328 Oak Drive, died Monday morning at Beeghley Medical Park. Mr. Hudoba was born September 26, 1929 in Struthers, a son of Anthony and Mary Prochak Hudoba. He lived in Struthers until moving to Mentor in 1969 and to Canton in 1975. He returned to Poland in 1978. He was a 1947 graduate of Struthers High School and attended Youngstown State University. He served in the United States Navy Air Force from 1947âa�"1954 Mr. Hudoba worked for Ameritech for 33 ½ years retiring as construction manager for the Youngstown district in 1984. He was a member of St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church and its Altar and Rosary Society, 4th degree member of the Struthers Knights of Columbus #4224, Struthers, Fraternal Order of Eagles #213, Struthers VFW Post #3538, Struthers Athletic Club, Telephone Pioneers and a former member of the Struthers Esquire Club. He was an avid golfer belonging to numerous golf leagues. Besides his wife the former Mary M. Emanuel whom he married June 6, 1953, he leaves one daughter, Kathleen Hawes of Greenfield, Ohio and one brother, Andrew Hudoba. Two sisters, Helen Hudoba and Margaret Metcalf and two brothers Michael and John Hudoba preceded him in death. Funeral services will be Thursday, 9:30 AM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland and 10:00 AM at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church. Friends may call Wednesday from 5-8 PM at the Funeral Home. The Knights of Columbus will conduct a prayer service at 4:45 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
