C. James Renstrom, 72 Struthers- C. James Renstrom, 72, of 504 10th Street died of an apparent heart attack Thursday evening at St. Elizabeth Health Center where he was taken after being stricken while dining out. He was born June 9, 1931 in Struthers a son of Carl O. and Margaret Pauline Ault Renstrom and was a lifelong resident. He was a 1950 graduate of Struthers High School where he was a member of the tumbling team. He was a lineman working out of the electric line shop at the Brier Hill and the Campbell Works of the former Youngtown Sheet and Tube Company, retiring in 1985 after 34 years. He was then a foreman, first at Packard Electric and later at Valley Mould and Iron. Mr. Renstrom was a member of the Lowellville Rod and Gun Club, the Thunderbird Archery Club, the Federation of Sportsman, the Couples League at Rolling Hills Golf Course and the ROMEOs. He leaves his wife the former DeAnn Passmore whom he married February 14, 1951; a daughter Chrissy (Richard) Wittkugle of Hubbard; three sons, Randall Renstrom of Hubbard, Gary (Debbie) Renstrom of Boardman, and Thomas Renstrom of Niles; a sister Naomi Phelan of Poland; and six grandchildren, Bill Renstrom, Leigh Ann Renstrom, Randy Renstrom, Elin Renstrom, Steven Wittkugle and Kayla Wittkugle. He leaves his beloved dog Jade. A son Michael Renstrom is deceased. The family will receive friends at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers from 4-5 PM Monday with a memorial service following at 5:00 PM.
