Bruce Runge Burkey

Bruce Runge Burkey, 50 Struthers- Bruce Runge Burkey, 50, of 78 Grimm Heights died of cancer Saturday morning at his parentâa�a��s residence on Wingate in Poland. Mr. Burkey was born March 14, 1953 in Youngstown, a son of Charles and Erna Runge Burkey and was a life-long area resident. He was a 1971 graduate of Struthers High School and a 1976 graduate of Miami University with a Bachelor of Science in Business. He was a meat cutter for his grandparentâa�a��s supermarket, Runge Value King in Struthers. At the time of its closing in 1987 he went on to work for various Sparkle Markets in the area. He was an active member of the Christ Lutheran Church in Struthers. Besides his parents of Poland he leaves one sister, Miriam (Terry) Turner of Wetmore, Colorado; one brother, Charles (Margaret) Burkey of Pulaski, Pennsylvania and two nieces, Jill Tallal and Melissa Burkey. Funeral services will be Wednesday, 11:00 AM at the Christ Lutheran Church. Friends may call Tuesday from 5-8 PM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers and Wednesday from 10:00 AM until 10:45 AM at the Church.
