Boardman- Brian Anderson, 39, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 31, 2015. He was a 1994 graduate of Matthews High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army.
He served two tours in Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, where he was awarded the Purple Heart as well as many other decorations and commendations.
Brian enjoyed lifting weights and working out and was a competitive body builder. He won the overall crown in the Lightweight Class at a tournament when he was younger and won his class at the Pittsburgh Regional Tournament and qualified for Nationals in Florida earlier this year.
He was full of life and everyone loved being around. Brian was very sentimental man who loved his family deeply. He will always be remembered as an amazing father and all around family man.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his son Cyle Anderson; his sister Carrie Anderson; his niece, Madeline Packo and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Brian was preceded in death by his mother, Christine Anderson.
Friends and family may call on Wednesday from 3:00-4:45pm at the Davis-Becker Funeral Home, 8536 Market St. Boardman, where a funeral service will be held following visitation at 5:00pm.
