Blair E. Ricketts, 64 Struthers- Blair E. Ricketts, 64, of Como Street in Struthers died Monday evening at his residence. Mr. Rickets was born February 22, 1939 in Struthers, a son of Charles and Edna Rough Ricketts. He lived in New Bedford, PA.and then the Niles - Warren area before moving to Arcadia, Florida in 1979. He returned to Struthers in 1995. He attended Warren G. Harding High School then served in the National Guard from 1955 until 1959. He then served in the United States Army from 1959 until 1961, serving in Korea and then Germany. He was a truck driver for Gold Star Industries of North Lima for 4 years retiring in 2001. When living in Florida he was a heavy equipment operator and field mechanic. He was a member of the Coitsville VFW Lodge # 7600, a member of the Punta Gorda Lodge F&A M #115 and the AL Koran Shrine of Cleveland. He attended the Barnstone Ministries in New Bedford. Besides his wife, the former Linda Wise whom he married February 4, 1978, he leaves one daughter, Christy (Jim) Ferry of Bristolville, Ohio, two step-daughters, Jill (Ray) Dudik of Canfield and Tracie (Greg) Hensley of Sneads Ferry, North Carolina; one sister Velma (Dan) Mears of Hillsboro, Oregon; one brother, Kenneth (Crystal) Ricketts of Cape Coral, Florida; Nine grandchildren, Douglas Suchy, Shannon and Leigha Hensley, Raymond and Jonathan Dudik and Ashley, Cody, Seth and Alexis Ferry. Besides his parents, one sister, Judy Edwards preceded him in death. Funeral Services will be Friday, 1:30 PM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers. Friends may call Friday from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 PM where a Masonic Service will be held at 1:00 PM.
