Biacio William Ginnetti

Biacio William "Bill" Ginnetti, 87, of Youngstown, died Wednesday morning, February 14, 2018 at Hospice of the Valley, Hospice House.

Biacio was born January 9, 1931 in Struthers, a son of Fillipo and Nicolette Centofanti Ginnetti.

Raised in Nebo, Bill was a graduate of Struthers High School, January Class of 1950. Bill served in the United States Navy Reserve from 1949 until 1953. In 1954 he was drafted into the United States Army and served four years in Germany.

While serving in Germany, Bill visited family in Italy and he met his future wife, Maria Centofanti. They were married March 9, 1958 and made their home in Youngstown. They were happily married for 47 years. Maria passed away November 11, 2005

Bill worked as an assistant roller in the Spike mill of the Youngstown Sheet & Tube and retired from the Seamless plant in 1984 after 30 years of service. After retirement Bill worked as a security guard for Ohio One Corporation.

He was a member of Sulmona Valley Club and a charter member of St. Anthony's Club, both in Struthers. He was a member of Christ Our Savior Parish at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church.

Bill enjoyed gardening, baking, and making his homemade wine. He was very proud of his Italian heritage, the music and food and loved passing on the traditions to his friends, especially his family, including his nieces and nephews.

Bill leaves to cherish his memory, one daughter, Anna (Richard) Snyder of Lowellville; three sons, John (Elaine) Ginnetti of Struthers, Anthony (Sharon) Ginnetti of Beloit and Nicholas (Lisa) Ginnetti also of Struthers; ten grandchildren, Cheryl (Jason Catone) Ginnetti, Gina Ginnetti, Danielle (Robert) Bodnar, Anthony, Kelly and Neil Ginnetti, Kali and Tyler Shank, and Samantha and Ricky Snyder; three great-grandchildren, Giovanni and Giuliana Catone, and Robert Bodnar.

In addition to his parents and wife, Bill was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Nicoletta Ginnetti; three sisters, Jenny Ginnetti, Florence Argiro, and Virginia Carbone; five brothers, Arthur, Donald, Herman, Ernest, and Dante Ginnetti.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, 10:30 AM at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Martin Celuch officiating. Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Youngstown, Ohio.

Friends will be received Sunday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home Poland where a Prayer Service will be held Monday at 9:45 AM at the funeral home.
