Beverly Wiesensee, 79 of Struthers, passed away on February 28, 2016 at the Hospice House, surrounded by her family. Beverly was born January 3, 1937 in Youngstown, a daughter of Thomas and Josephine "Jo" Patterson Cox.

She was a graduate of Struthers High School and was previously employed at Hartz Mountain. Beverly was a member of Good Hope Lutheran Church in Boardman. She was an animal lover, was a member of the Humane Society and was also a member of the Easter Seals.
Beverly loved collecting elephants, crocheting, and playing solitaire.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman A. Wiesensee Jr, in 2008, whom she married, Sept. 15, 1972.

She is survived by one son, John T. (Jill) Beard of Poland; one daughter, Lisa M. Major of Struthers; four step-daughters, Robin Gibson of Hubbard, Patty Lou Wiesensee of Liberty, Ruth "Amber" Wiesensee of Youngstown and Anna Marie Cappitti of Boardman; two sisters, Peggy (Lennie) Hall of Youngstown and Linda "TJ" Weckerly of Alabama; one brother, Thomas (Chris) Cox of Cortland; 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, Beverly was preceded in death by two infant children, Patricia and Robert Beard and also her loving Shih Tzu, Pumpkin.

A memorial service will be held Thursday at 6pm at Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, 11 Spring St., Struthers with Pastor Bob Quaintance officiating.

Friends and family will be received prior to the service from 5-6pm at the funeral home.

The family would like to send a special thank you to the wonderful staff at the Hospice House for all they have done for Beverly.
