Betty Jane Timar

The family will receive friends for Betty Jane Timar at the Davis Becker Funeral Home, 8536 Market Street, Boardman, on Saturday, January 21, 2017, from 12 -12:45 p.m., where a funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Burial will follow the funeral service at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
She was originally from Canfield and was currently living in Novi, MI since 2012, to be close to her children and grandchildren.
Mrs. Timar passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at the Angela Hospice Care Center in Livonia, Michigan. Betty Jane was born October 31, 1928 in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of Francis and Eleanor Davis. She was united in marriage to Edward V. Timar on February 17, 1950. He preceded her in death on January 20, 2010.
Betty Jane graduated from Boardman High School in 1946 and attended Youngstown College. She was employed at the Youngstown Vindicator for 10 years. Betty was a member of the United Presbyterian Church in Canfield and was a member at Salem Country Club.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Jeff (Lori) Timar of Novi, MI and Jane (Ken) Cheslik of Northville, MI; nine grandchildren, Kerri (Timar) Smith, Kristi (Timar)Solon, Ryan Timar, Kelli Timar, Kati Timar, Jeffrey Cheslik, Greg Cheslik, Jamie Cheslik, Jake Cheslik; and three great-grandchildren, Lennon Solon, Lucas Edward Timar and Kennedy Smith.
