Betty S. Van Meter (Rogers), 55 North Ridgeville, OH- Betty S. Van Meter, 55, formerly of Struthers died late Saturday evening at St. Elizabeth Health Center. Mrs. Van Meter was born on February 19, 1950 in Clarksburg, WV, a daughter of George Denzel and Martha Lois Rogers . She moved to North Ridgeville from Struthers in 1996. She was a graduate of South High School and a homemaker. She was involved with the Voices for Children of Lorain County Courts. She leaves her mother, Martha Dye of Lost Creek, WV; her husband, Sheldon, whom she married June24, 1967; two daughters, Shelly Sue Van Meter of Youngstown, OH and Stephanie (Steve) Kovach of Struthers; a son, Jonathon Paul Van Meter of Elyria,OH; two sisters; Lana Lou (Robert) Vanhorn of Reynoldsburg, OH and Amy Marie Rogers of Lost Creek, WV; two brothers, George (Debbie) Denzel Rogers Jr. of Boardman, James Warden(Sonya) Rogers of Lost Creek,WV, and Jeffrey Allen (Nancy) Dye of Dorcus, WV; and 8 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, George Denzel Rogers; and a sister, Martha Ann Gore. Funeral services will be Wednesday 11AM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers.
