Bettie Jane Raniolo

March 25, 1946 — August 11, 2014

Poland - Bettie Jane Raniolo, 68, died Monday evening, August 11, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Boardman Medical Center.

Bettie was born March 25, 1946 in Youngstown, a daughter of David and Marjorie Weaver Lewis.

She was a graduate of Springfield High School. Bettie worked for several years as a caretaker, but her main role was that of a homemaker, wife, mom, and grandma. Bettie was happiest when she was surrounded by her family, always taking the best care of them and putting their needs before her own.

One of Bettie's favorite things was playing bingo. She loved and cherished the many friendships she made with her "bingo family." Bettie also loved to make crafts, often sharing her creations with family, friends, and strangers. Bettie will always be remembered as a selfless, giving, reliable, sometimes ornery, but loving woman who loved making people smile.

She is survived by her husband, Rick Cordray of Poland; three sons, Thomas (Linda) Hodder of Niles, David Hodder of Poland, and Walter Raniolo of Poland; a daughter, Wendi (John) Vinkler of Petersburg; four grandchildren, Johnithan and Mariah Vinkler and Jasmine and Jadea Hodder.

In addition to her parents, Bettie was preceded in death by her two brothers, David and Leroy Lewis.

A funeral service will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, 270 N. Main St., Poland, where family and friends will be received Thursday from 5 to 6:45 p.m. Private interment will take place Friday at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in North Lima.
