Poland - Beth D. Golden, 68, of Poland, died Monday, October 29, 2007 in Hospice House. Mrs. Golden was born March 28, 1939 in Youngstown, a daughter of Dale and Willa Jane Myer Wegele. A 1957 graduate of Poland Seminary High School, Mrs. Golden worked as a cafeteria cook for the Boardman School District. She also previously worked for the Poland Swim Club, Suburban Service, and Towne & Country Cleaners in Poland. She was a member of the Poland Presbyterian Church, the Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem Ruth Shrine #64, and the Eastern Star Lodge #428 Columbiana Chapter. Mrs. Golden was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Golden, on July 15, 2004. She leaves three sons, Charles Golden of Youngwood, PA, Roy Golden of Poland, and Jeffrey (Charlotte) Golden of the Netherlands; a sister, Gwen (Jack) Shipsky of Poland; and nine grandchildren, Eric, Dale, Christopher, Sheila, Seth, Kayla, Fabian, Lieve, and Finn. Besides her husband, Mrs. Golden was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held at the Poland Presbyterian Church, Saturday, 11:00 a.m. with Dr. David Gilbert officiating. Interment will be in Bryan Community Cemetery, Dawson, PA. Friends will be received Friday from 4-7 p.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland and Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. at the church. The Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem Ruth Shrine #64 will have a service Friday, 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
