Bertha L. Baer

Struthers - Bertha L. Baer, 86 of Struthers, OH, died Friday morning, December 28, 2007. Mrs. Baer was born Monday, November 21, 1921 in Pennsylvania a Daughter of Samuel and Jane Reagle Johnson. She was a homemaker, a member of Member of the Order of the Eastern Star, she was a Brownie Leader and also a Leader of the Camp Fire Girles. Mrs. Baer also sold tickets for the Aut Mori Grotto circus. Her husband, Winfield "Max" Baer, whom she married June 26, 1940 died October 4, 1992 She is survived by three daughters, Jean Buttar, of Niles, Carol (Donald) Walsh of Poland, and Colleen (John) Chennell of Youngstown, Five Grandchildren, Gary Buttar, David (Traci) Buttar, Rebecca (Ryan) Donchess, Jennifer (Tom) Downie, and Julie Walsh, three Great-Grandchildren, Jordan Downie, Jacob Buttar, and Katie Buttar, and one sister Violet McCann Besides her parents and husband she is preceded in death by six brothers, Ray, Fred, Wilke, Jack, Victor, and an infant brother Floyd Johnson, Four sisters, Katherine Rust, Adeline Roth, Lillian Ruggles, Ruth Adams. Family and friends will be received 4-7 P.M., Sunday, December 30 at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland, where funeral services will be Monday at 11:00 am., where friends will be received from 10:30 - 10:45 am Memorial contributions may be given in Mrs. Baer's name to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St., Boardman OH 44512.
