Beatrice Tortora Pachuta, 82 YOUNGSTOWN- Beatrice Tortora Pachuta, 82, of 537 E. Philadelphia Avenue, who died Wednesday afternoon after a long illness. She was born January 12, 1921, a daughter of Lewis and Maria LaFemme Tortora. Mrs. Pachuta attended Taft School and Woodrow Wilson High School. She graduated with honors from Youngstown State University with a degree in education. She continued her education at Akron University, where she earned her Masters degree. She taught at South Range High School for 10 years. From there, she went to the Bursarâa�a��s office at Youngstown State University, where she worked for eighteen years until her retirement in 1989. She was also a secretary at city machine. She was a member of St. Matthias Catholic Church. Besides her husband John B., whom she married July 12, 1970, she leaves two step-sons, Wayne L. Pachuta of Struthers and John M. Pachuta of Canfield; one brother, Daniel; and one sister, Claire Julian, both of Boardman. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Patrick, James, Thomas, and Julius; and one sister, Anne Dematteo. There will be no calling hours or funeral services. Arrangements are being handled by the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers.
