Beaver- Barbara J. Walter, formerly of Poland, Ohio, died August 1, 2013 at Heritage Valley Health Systems Beaver of a sudden illness.
Barbara was born December 29, 1945, in Youngstown, Ohio. She was the daughter of Arba and Margaret (Goodridge) Yentch. A 1963 graduate of Poland Seminary, she worked as the office manager for Don Walter Kitchens in Wexford, Pennsylvania. Barbara enjoyed reading, her pets, and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and University of Pittsburgh football and basketball games.
Barbara is survived by her parents, son Scott (Erin Ribo) Walter of Seven Fields, Pennsylvania, daughter Robin Walter of Beaver, Pennsylvania, brother, Richard (Kim) Yentch, niece Katrina Yentch and nephew Jonathan Yentch of Montrose, California and cousins, Kathy Kidston and Rob Kidston of Canfield, Ohio.
Friends and family will be received on Monday, August 5 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Poland, Ohio. Services will be held the following morning at 11 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment will be at Poland Riverside Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Heart Association or Animal Friends of Pittsburgh.
