Barbara Ann Shawver

Berlin Center - Barbara Ann Shawver, 67, died September 9, 2011 at her home surrounded by her family.

Mrs. Shawver was born March 13, 1944 in Cleveland, the daughter of the late Dale and Mathilda Jacob Mandy. She moved from the Cleveland area to Berlin Center in 1976.

A graduate of Parma Senior High School, Mrs. Shawver worked as a legal secretary for Squire-Sanders-Dempsey in Cleveland. Most recently, she was working as a cashier at Giant Eagle in Canfield.

She was a member of the New Hope Order of the Eastern Star in Cleveland, the High Twelve, the Saxon Club in Cleveland, and Odd Fellows No. 88 in Palm Beach, FL. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and scrap booking.

She leaves her husband of 45 years, Clarence E. "Pierre" Shawver, whom she married October 23, 1965; daughter, Dawn M. Shawver of Canfield; two sons, Brett (Chrissy) Shawver of Mineral Ridge and Scott E. Shawver of Berlin Center; and a granddaughter, Kiera D. Shawver.

A memorial service will be held announced at a later date.

The family requests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions in Mrs. Shawver's name to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market Street, Boardman, Ohio 44512.

Mrs. Shawver's husband and family would like to thank the Aut Mori Grotto for all of their courtesies, support, and prayers expressed for them and Barbara.
