Poland - Barbara A. Rushton, 79, of Poland, died Wednesday evening, February 12, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Boardman.
She was born December 7, 1934 in East Liverpool, a daughter of David and Louella Bevington Fugate.
Barbara graduated from East Liverpool High School in 1952, She then worked as a telephone operator for AT&T until her marriage. Barbara was a homemaker and later worked for F.W. Woolworth's at the Southern Park Mall for 20 years.
Barbara enjoyed taking care of people, though her first priority was taking care of her husband and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She leaves her husband of 56 years, Robert Rushton, whom she married August 4, 1957; two daughters, Lisa Bell of Strongsville and Susan (Albert) Sciulli of Poland Township; one sister, Dotty Lucas of East Liverpool; and four grandchildren Kayleigh Sciulli, Roman Bell, Kara Sciulli, and Morgan Bell.
Besides her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her daughter, Elizabeth A Rushton.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, 11:00 a.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland. Interment will follow at the Poland Riverside Cemetery.
Friends will be received Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home.
