Barbara E. Loncar

Barbara E. Loncar, 89 Struthers- Barbara E. Loncar, 89, of 203 Center St., died Friday at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was born June 5, 1913, in Grayslanding, PA a daughter of the late Thomas and Elena Lubanovic Vlasich. She grew up and, was raised in Grayslanding and the Masontown area, and moved to Struthers in 1929. Mrs. Loncar was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, where she was part of the Altar and Rosary Society. She was a member of the Struthers SNPJ Lodge #277 for over 50 years. Besides her husband the late Philip Loncar whom she married July 26, 1930, and who died June 11, 1942. She is survived by a daughter: Evelyn Loncar Pavlik with whom she made her home; two sons: Robert Loncar of Fontana, CA ; Philip âa�A"Scoopâa�A� and daughter-in-law Joan Loncar of New Middletown; two sisters: Kay Romanko of Youngstown; Anna Dubrosky of Springfield, NJ; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren. One brother: Stefan Vlasich as an infant; and six sisters: Marie Scopaz; Julia Matson; Rose Cindrich; Mary Grizzle; Virginia Venturi amd Helen Radovich precede her in death. A prayer service will be held Wednesday at 9:30 AM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers, followed by Mass at 10 AM at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Struthers. Friends may call from 5-8PM, Tuesday at the funeral home.
