Poland - Barbara A. LoGiudice Dittmar, 69, died of cancer early Saturday morning, May 5, 2012 at her home.
Barbara was born August 30, 1942 in Youngstown, a daughter of Myron and Betty (Farnell) LoGiudice. Barbara moved to San Antonio, Texas in 1977 and returned to the area in 1987.
She was a 1960 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and received her LPN from Choffin Career Center in 1961. Throughout the years, Barbara worked as a LPN for various hospitals in San Antonio, Texas, Salem, Pittsburgh, and Youngstown.
Barbara enjoyed cheering for the New York Yankees, going to Mountaineer, and watching tennis.
She is survived by her daughter, Andrea Turk of San Antonio, TX; son, Christopher Dittmar of Austin, TX; sister, Anita (Dick) LoGiudice-Nagel of Poland; brother, James (Margo) LoGiudice of Doylestown, PA; two grandchildren, Taylor and Connor Turk; sister-in-law, Patty LoGiudice of Poland; six nieces, Monica Cameli, Cindy Cameli, Leeanne (Bert) Madeline, Elizabeth Zagorski, Susan LoGiudice, and Sarah LoGiudice; nephew, Ted Zagorski; and several great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Robert LoGiudice; and sister, Catherine Zagorski.
A memorial service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Poland, where friends will be received one hour prior to the service.
