Boardman - Barbara Ann Colangelo, 73, died Monday morning, February 6, 2012 at the Hospice House.
Mrs. Colangelo was born November 26, 1938 in Youngstown, a daughter of William and Lucille Frondorf Johnson.
She was a 1957 graduate of Poland Seminary High School and attended Youngstown College and Cedarville College. Mrs. Colangelo previoulsy worked for Brentwood Pillow Factory and the former Annette's Pizza Shop in Poland.
She was a member of the former Struthers Baptist Tabernacle, where she taught Sunday School for many years and a member of Poland Village Baptist Church. Mrs. Colangelo enjoyed sewing, jigsaw puzzles, and bird watching.
Her husband, Benjamin F. Colangelo Sr., whom she married April 30, 1960, died February 23, 2009. She leaves two sons, Anthony (Shari) Colangelo of Poland and Benjamin (Christina) Colangelo Jr. of Austintown; two daughters, Cathy Colangelo of Boardman and Joyce (Don) Shade of Tracy, CA; two sisters, Susan Johnson of Struthers and Alberta Runyan of Austintown; two brothers, William (Shirley) Johnson of Florida and Timothy (Mary Kay) Johnson of Canfield; and ten grandchildren, Shawna Gains, Maria Colangelo, and Miranda Colangelo, all of Poland, Michael Colangelo of Boardman, Brandon Colangelo and Dylan Colangelo, both of Austintown, Richie Shade, Lee Shade, Benny Shade, and John Shade, all of Tracy, Ca.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her infant son, Christopher Colangelo.
Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Poland Village Baptist Church.
Family and friends will be received Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home in Struthers and Thursday from 10-10:45 at the church prior to the service.
