Barbara Ellen Campbell

Barbara Ellen Campbell, 84 Struthers- Barbara Ellen Campbell, 84, of Maplecrest Nursing Home, formerly of Como Street, died early Wednesday morning at the nursing home. Mrs. Campbell was born January 25, 1922 in Akron, a daughter of Harry and Dorothy Holland Hollen. She was a life-time resident of Struthers. She was a graduate of Struthers High School and for 30 years was the manager for the Newport Theater in Youngstown and Cinema South Theater in Boardman. She retired in 1994. Mrs. Campbell was a member of New Life Assembly in Poland. She was an avid card player enjoying both 500 and Pinochle. She enjoyed reading and bowling. Her husband Charles Campbell whom she married November 27, 1945 died May 25, 1967. She leaves two daughters, Sandra (Pete) Carbone of Struthers and Mary Ellen (Mark) DeLongchamp of Novi, Michigan; one son, Charles (Carol) Campbell of Struthers; five grandchildren, Carolyn Styranec, Pete Carbone, Christy Carbone, Mark and Charles DeLongchamp; and five great-grandchildren, Eva, Nina and Eric Carbone, and Bradley and Jordon Styranec. Besides her parents and husband, Mrs. Campbell was preceded in death by three brothers, Harry, Richard and James Hollen. Funeral services will be Friday, 10:00 AM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers. Friends may call Thursday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
