YOUNGSTOWN - Elton B. Burky, 97, died on Feb. 11, 2011, at Park Vista in Youngstown.
He was born on Jan. 21, 1914, a son of Arthur E. Burky, Esq. and Ann E. Burky.
Elton practiced law in Youngstown with his father in the family firm of Burky & Burky, which was founded by his grandfather, Moses H. Burky.
He retired in 1994 to his residence in Canfield, where he lived until predeceased by his beloved wife, Wilma.
Elton was honored in 1987 by the Mahoning County Bar Association for 50 years of service and was extremely proud of that tribute.
He is survived by two sons, Elton A. Burky, Esq., who practices law in Greenville, Maine and Kenneth L. Burky of Murraysville, Pa., who heads the piano department at Duquesne University.
There are five grandchildren, one of whom is an Attorney in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho, and is carrying on the family tradition for another generation.
Preceding Attorney Burky in death besides his wife and parents was a sister, Harriet A. Smith.
