Athena Weinstock was born to Eva Morroco and Alexander Katavolos in Somersworth, New Hampshire. She passed away on August 5 at Shepherd of the Valley Nursing Care Facility in Boardman. She is preceded in death by her dear husband Samuel, sisters Stella and Katherine, and brother Peter. She is deeply and sadly missed by her daughter Anita Weinstock, grandchildren; Elizabeth (Ryan) Fisher, Eve (Brian) Suiter, Mark Fisher and great grandson John Michael Fisher.
She was employed in downtown Youngstown at Strouss-Hirshbergs. During World War II, she worked at the Youngstown Truscon Steel Company.
She took great care in making a home for her family. She was a lover of animals and gardening. She enjoyed sewing, hat making, and was an avid reader. Always athletic, she belonged to golf and bowling leagues.
She was a servant of God, who showed her love by doing things for others, especially her family and friends.
