Arthur L. Perkins

Arthur L. Perkins 82 Youngstown- Arthur L. Perkins, 82, of 61 N. Bruce St., Youngstown died on Sunday at his residence. Mr. Perkins was born May 18, 1920 in Struthers, son of Arthur and Jeanette Perkins. He was a 1939 Graduate of East High School. He worked for the Youngstown Police Department for 29 years. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II. Arthur was a member of Gibson Heights Second United Presbyterian Church and was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Police. Besides is wife formerly Dorothy McGowen whom he married August 2, 1947,and who died in 1997, he leaves a son, Gary Perkins of Elyria, OH (Pat); a daughter Joyce Perkins of Youngstown; and three grandchildren Erin, Laura, and Matt Perkins. Besides his wife Dorothy, step- mother Martha Perkins, a son Charles Perkins(Jackie); a brother Jack Perkins; a step-brother James McGowen; and a sister Janet Duran all preceded him in death. Funeral Services will be held Thursday 11:00 AM at The Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers. Friends may call Wednesday 6-8 and again on Thursday 10:00 AM-10: 45 AM.
