Anthony J. âa�A"Tonyâa�A� Ziccardo, 84 Struthers- Anthony J. âa�A"Tonyâa�A� Ziccardo,84, of 20 Helena Drive, died at his home early Wednesday morning after an extended illness. Mr. Ziccardo was born October 31, 1917, in Lowellville, a son of John and Madeline Marion Ziccardo. He grew up and attended school in Lowellville and was a lifelong area resident. He was employed by Sharon Steel as a truck driver, retiring in 1979 after 40 years of service. A member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, and the Lowellville Senior Citizens. He was also a former member of St. Anthonyâa�a��s Society in Struthers, and enjoyed football. Besides his wife the former Rose Alfano, whom he married January 15, 1937, he is survived by two daughters: Madelena and son-in-law Edward Cavanaugh of Medina; Sharon and son-in-law Richard Janci of Lowellville; son-in-law: Augustine Carducci, Jr. of Poland; a brother Thomas Ziccardi of Poland; nine grandchildren; and fourteen great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by three sisters: Mary DiCiccio; Carmel Romeo; Marian Masey; and three brothers: Frank; Michael; and Joseph. A prayer service will be held 9:30 AM, Saturday at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland, followed by Mass at 10 AM at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Struthers. Friends may call Friday at the funeral home from 5-8 PM, and again on Saturday from 9 âa�" 9:30 AM prior to prayers. Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley.
