Anthony Paul Longo, 90, of Buckeye Circle, died Friday afternoon at St. Elizabeth Health Care. Mr. Longo was born September 30, 1917 in Cleveland, a son of Joseph and Carmella Leone Longo. He was raised in Cleveland and came to this area in 1958. He was a graduate of Patrick Henry High School in Cleveland and was a Sales Manager for National Distillers in Cleveland for 34 years retiring in 1983. During World War II, Mr. Longo worked for the Department of the United States Navy in Pearl Harbor. Mr. Longo was an avid golfer and was a member of various golf leagues. He was a member of St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church in Struthers. His wife the former Ann Samsa whom he married May 3rd, 1941 died May 27, 1998. He leaves three daughters; Linda (Joseph) Baiocco of Canfield, Candice (Jerry) Kacvinsky of Poland, and Ann Marie (Jack) Trant of Cary, North Carolina; one brother, Joseph John Longo III of Punta Gorda, Florida; and one granddaughter, Christina Kacvinsky. Besides his parents and wife, Mr. Longo was preceded in death by a sister, Marie Bozek and a brother, Joseph John Longo, II. Funeral services will be Monday at noon at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland and 12:30 p.m. at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church, Struthers.
