Anthony E.Tomocik âa�A"Eggsâa�A�, 81 Struthers- Anthony E. Tomocik, 81, of 88 Grimm Heights died Saturday evening at St. Elizabeth Health Care Center. Mr. Tomocik was born in Struthers March 28, 1922, a son of Joseph and Anna Ondo Tomocik. He was a lifelong area resident. He was a steelworker at Republic Steel for 30 years, before retiring in the early 70âa�a��s. He was a member of the VFW Struthers and the Mahoning Sportsman Club. Mr. Tomocik was a combat veteran of the United States Army Company C 378th Infrantry Regiment 95th Division during WWII, where he received a purple heart. He was a member of Saint Nicholas Church in Struthers, where he was in the Altar Rosary Society. His wife, the former Catherine Hempstead, whom he married August 11, 1951, died February 21, 1971. He is survived by three sisters, Agnes Murray of Struthers, Helen Vivo of Poland, and Jennie Nester of Campbell; 25 nieces and nephew, which include Earl J. Murray, Brenda Murray- Pickard, and Linda Murray- Slaven. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Michael, John, and Joseph Tomocik; and one sister, Mary Johnston. Funeral services will be Wednesday 12:30 PM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers and 1:00 PM at Saint Nicholas Church. Friends may call Tuesday from 5-8 at the funeral home.
