Nancy’s home was the meeting place for friends and family. Lovingly remembered as Mrs. B. to her children’s friends, her warm smile and happy home will never be forgotten. Her Christmas parties were legendary and all were welcome. She was an excellent cook, and for a lady of Irish descent, her spaghetti and meatballs and chicken parmesan, were amazing. She was a big sports fan and was known to make necklaces with little dog biscuits on them to support her much beloved Cleveland Browns.
She was a proud graduate of Ursuline High school and would make her children stand on the corner of their childhood home on Schenley Ave and hold "Go Ursuline, Beat Mooney" signs on the day of the big game. She retired after 42 years with North Side Hospital, in Youngstown, where she worked as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist. She was a lifetime member of the American Legion 732 and the Eagles 213, on South Avenue. She was a proud Nana to 7 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter with another great grandchild on the way. She will be remembered by the girls in her "Club." They played 500 once a month for over 35 years.
The family would like to thank the staff at Hampton Woods in Poland and the nurses and chaplain at Crossroads Hospice for their excellent care of their mother and grandmother.
