Anne D. Warner

Youngstown - Anne D. Warner, 98, of Youngstown, died October 26, 2015 at Brookdale Assisted Living.
Mrs.Warner was born April 30, 1917 in Youngstown, a daughter of Ignatius and Victoria Gorczyca Valicek Wallace.


She was a 1935 graduate of South High School. She worked at Universal Commercial Investment Trust and was the Executive Secretary
for The Albert Pick Ohio Hotel on Boardman Street for 37 years. The hotel was owned by Charles Shutrump and Al Tuber. She was one of the founding members of St. Christine's Parish and former member of Holy Family Parish.
She was currently a member of St. Charles Borromeo Church.
She has been a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary 158 and had been its President at one time. She was a member of the Pine-Lake Garden Club of Poland when she resided on Forest Hill Drive in Poland. She was past president in 1967-1969.
Anne enjoyed traveling to various places all over the world.


She leaves several nieces and nephews; Joseph B. Kope, Donald L. Kope, Paul M. Kope, Robert Democko, Joanne Wallace, Richard Wallace, Barbara Campolito, Patty Kovachik, James Shuba, and Robert Wallace ; several great nieces and nephews; and her good friends, Violet Pallotta, Bonnie and Bill Leaming.

Her husband, Marshall W. Warner, whom she married Nov. 9, 1946, died June 18, 1992.

Besides her parents and husband, Anne was preceded in death by siblings, Katherine Smith, Marie A. Kope, Margaret Kaiser, Cecelia "Sally" Griffiths,
Genevieve Shuba, Albert Valicek, Joseph Wallace, Henry Valicek, Robert Wallace, and William Wallace.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 11:00 AM St. Charles Borromeo Church. Interment will follow at Lake Park Cemetery.
Friends and family will be received 10:15 AM to 10:45 AM at the church.


The family would like to thank the staffs at Brookdale and the Humility House for the love and care they gave to Anne when she resided there.
