Anne (Fogaras) Stanko

Columbiana - Anne Stanko, 99, passed away on December 13, 2016 in Parkside Health Care Center. She was born December 28, 1916 in Johnstown, PA, daughter of the late George and Anna Maksim Fogaras.
Anne was employed as a bookkeeper for Penner Furniture in Struthers and later Poland Countryside Furniture, where she retired from in 1989. She was a member of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church and was known for her cooking and baking. Anne enjoyed knitting and golfing with her husband and her friends.
She leaves her daughter, Marianne (Joe) Less of Columbiana; her son, Joseph M. (Jan) Stanko Jr. of Santa Rosa Beach, FL; four grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and two sisters, Helen Shirilla of Cleveland and Mary Medovich of Struthers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph M. Stanko on November 15, 1972; her brother, George Fogaras and sisters, Martha Voytilla, Pauline Till and Nancy Kuhn.
In honoring Anne's wishes, there will be no services.
