Austintown- Anne Kelley, 90, formerly of Edgewater Drive in Poland, died Thursday, January 24, 2008 at Woodlands at Austinwoods. Anne was born March 19, 1917 in Cleveland, Ohio, a daughter of Wasil and Katarina Leshok Washinka. Her parents migrated from Vilna, Russia in the early 1900's. Anne moved to the Youngstown area in 1935 and resided in Poland with her husband until 1994. A 1936 graduate of South High School, Anne was a homemaker and had worked for the U.S. Census Bureau in the 1950's doing most of her work in Poland Township. Anne was a member of the Evangel Baptist Church in Boardman, a lifetime member of the Poland Extension Garden Club, and a charter member of the Royal Seniors. Her husband, Harold T. Kelley, whom she married May 23, 1939, died August 23, 1993. Anne leaves her sister, Helen Andrusky; nieces, Kitty, Winnie, Sondie, and Alice Kay; nephews, Marty, Duane, John, and Dan; and many great, great-great, and great-great-great nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, John Washinka; and a sister, Sophie Nagy. A private graveside service will be held Monday at the Poland Riverside Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home, Struthers.
