Anna “Becky” Hoffman Strait, 75
LOWELLVILLE – Anna “Becky” Hoffman Strait, 75, died April 12, 2016, at her daughters residence.
Becky was born Oct. 1, 1940, in Youngstown, a daughter of John and Dora Leak Hoffman.
She attended South High School and was manager at Fast Check and was a cashier for Nemenz IGA, both in Austintown. Becky loved bingo, gambling, and playing the lottery. She also liked spending time at Gilford Lake, where she enjoyed fishing.
She is survived two sons, Carl (Tina) Strait Jr. of Lowellville and Ronald Strait of Youngstown; two daughters, Tammy (Rob) Conner of Austintown and Cindy (David) Dingey of Alexandria, Ind.; two sisters, Alice Cownden of Lowellville and Olive Harasyn of Austintown; seven grandchildren, Shelia (Mike) Runyon, Jessica Mitchell, Stefanie (Josh) Dingey, Cory Strait, Shawna (Rick) Dingey, Kyle Strait, and Brian Neff; and seven great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, Becky was preceded in death by her former husband of 32 years, Carl Strait Sr.; her loving companion of 18 years, Jim Horvath; and one daughter, Debbie Strait.
Services will be held Friday at 6 p.m., at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, 244 McGill St., Lowellville ( due to road construction , please enter from Walnut St.) Friends and family will be received prior to the service from 4 to 5:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
