Ann M. (Murcko) Volarich
March 5, 1923 — February 24, 2017
Boardman - Ann M. Volarich, 93, passed away on February 24, 2017 in Hospice of the Valley's Hospice House. She was born March 5, 1923 in Brookfield, to the late John and Mary Pastorek Murcko and was a graduate of Brookfield High School.
Ann was very strong in her faith and was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and the Queen of Holy Rosary Chapel in Vienna. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, polka dancing, playing tennis and watching her children and grandchildren's sporting activities.
She leaves her two sons, David Volarich, D.O. of St. Louis, MO and Thomas (Linda) Volarich of Annapolis, MD; four daughters, Donna (Joseph) DeOnofrio of Boardman, Elaine (Thomas Lentz) Volarich of Akron, Francine Volarich of Naples, FL and Tina Patterson of Boca Raton, FL; grandchildren, Anastasia, Alexandria and Olivia Volarich, Nicholas, Diana (Guy Fisher) and Michael (Alexandra) DeOnofrio, Erik, Claire and Quinn Lentz and Vanessa Volarich.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas P. Volarich on May 7, 1972; her brothers, John, Joseph, George, Andy, Steve and Frank Murcko; and three sisters, Mary Mizicko, Helen Settlemeyer and Margaret Sabulski.
The family would like to send a special thank you to the care givers of Loving Hands and Missy and Kathy.
Visitation will be Sunday from 3-5:45pm at the Davis-Becker Funeral Home, 8536 Market St. in Boardman, followed by the Funeral Service at 6pm at the funeral home.
A private interment will take place at Brookfield Cemetery.
