Poland - Ann Namie, 94, of Poland, passed away Monday, December 29, 2008 at her home. She was a member of the Boardman United Methodist Church. Her husband, Lawrence Namie, died in 1977. She leaves her daughter, Shirley (Robert) Lipp of New Waterford; her son, Larry (Lerene) Namie of Poland; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy Bistarky, Clara Novak, and Carolyn Davis; two brothers, Lou Bencinic and Sam Benson; and one grandchild, Kathy Namie Beare. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Poland with Rev. Ash Welch officiating. Interment will follow at the Poland Riverside Cemetery. Family and friends will be received Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Please visit
