Struthers - Ann Bogdan, 85, died Sunday morning, September 29, 2013 at ValleyRenaissance Northside Medical Center.
Ann was born August 11, 1928 in Campbell, Ohio, a daughter of Peter and Mary Barbu Tincu. She was a 1946 honors graduate of Campbell Memorial High School. On July 27, 1947, she married her beloved husband, Villa "Vic" Bogdan, who passed away September 21, 2007 after 60 years of marriage.
As a young girl, Ann worked in the Canteen at the Youngstown Sheet and Tube and was also a secretary for the William B. Pollock Company in Youngstown, Ohio.
An all-around, avid sports fan, she was a 50-year, devoted fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Cleveland Indians, as well as Derek Jeter of the New York Yankees. Ann was also known for her quick wit, intelligence, as well as a fan of all the local and syndicated radio talk shows and music radio shows in and around the Youngstown area.
Ann is survived by her son, Gary Richard Bogdan of Henderson, NV and his two children, Gary and Courtney, both of Omaha, NE; daughter, Vikki Ann Bogdan, Las Vegas, NV; son Dennis Charles Bogdan, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; nieces Martha and MaryLou Lorello, Debbie Razzano (Pete); nephew, Frank Lorello, Jr. (Kathy) and their two sons, Kevin and Matthew. She is also survived by Amanda Pano, adoptive great-granddaughter/caregiver; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Her brothers and sisters are deceased.
A private service will be held in honor of Ann at Davidson-Becker Funeral Home in Struthers.
