Ann Babinchak, 88 Boardman- Ann Babinchak, 88, of Shepherd of the Valley, Boardman, formerly of Sequoya Drive, died Wednesday morning at the nursing home. Mrs. Babinchak was born February 28, 1916 in Mingo Junction, Ohio, a daughter of Michael and Susan Sich Bindas. She was a 1935 graduate of South High School and for 11 years, owned and operated with her husband, Babinchak Grocery Store on Brownlee Ave. She was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Ladies Altar Guild. She was a former member of John Calvin St. Paul Church of Christ and itsâa�a�� National Slovak Society. Besides her husband George, whom she married May 8, 1937; she leaves one daughter, Carole Ann Price of Poland; two sons, George R. (Joan) Babinchak of Struthers and John (Elaine) Babinchak of Summerville, S.C.; three sisters, Dorothy Badnarik of Poland, Betty DeArcangelis and Margaret DePillo both of Youngstown; one brother, Robert Bindas of Niles; nine grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Besides her parents, two brothers, John and Mike Bindas, one sister, Susan Bindas and two infant granddaughters preceded her in death. Funeral services will be Saturday, 2:00 p.m. at the John Calvin St. Paul Church of Christ. Friends may call Friday from 5-8 p.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland and from 1-1:45 p.m. Saturday in church.
