Angeline Williams, 83, died Sunday, April 3, 2016 in St. Elizabeth Health Center. She was born January 22, 1933 in Youngstown, daughter of the late Nick and Mary Pantana DeLetis.
She was a graduate of Lowellville High School and was a life long resident of Lowellville. Ange was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, where she had been active in the Altar and Rosary Society in the past. She was active in the Lowellville High School PTA while her children were in school and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, cooking and baking. Ange also cherished the many years baking with her mother. Her husband, Dick, was head basketball coach at Lowellville High School for several decades and throughout his career she was his biggest fan. Ange always put her family first and was a wonderful homemaker. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren whom she would do anything for. They were the highlight of her life.
She leaves her husband, Richard "Dick" Williams, who was her high school sweetheart and whom she married on August 29, 1953. Ange cherished the 62 years she spent with Dick. She also leaves her three daughters, Pamela (Frank) Nolfi of Poland, Marilyn Williams of Lowellville (fiance Dennis DeLucia of Franklin, PA) and Shelley (Joseph) Listorti of Austintown; three grandchildren, Joey and Rachel Listorti and Krista Nolfi; two sisters, Eleanor (Joe) Willliams of Lowellville and Evelyn Kurtz of Poland; sister-in-law, Jeanne Zelinka of Poland and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers-in-law, Robert Kurtz and John Zelinka.
Prayer services will begin on Thursday at 9:15am at Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, 244 McGill St. Lowellville, OH 44436 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial which will be celebrated at 10am at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, with the Rev. Fr. John Jerek as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Holy Rosary Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4-7pm at the funeral home.
