Angeline Bezjak

Poland - Angeline  Bezjak, 99, of Poland formerly of Struthers, died Thursday morning, January 18, 2018 at Hospice of the Valley, Hospice House.

Angeline was born July 1, 1918 in Youngstown, a daughter of Constantine and Cecelia  Navy.

Angeline, affectionately known as Ange and Angie, was raised on Edison Street in Struthers. She attended Struthers High School and at the age of 15 left school to work. She first worked at McCrory's, downtown Youngstown, and later as a waitress for Knight's Restaurant in Canfield and Berndt's Restaurant in Youngstown.

Angeline embraced her role as a homemaker. She loved taking care of her husband, children and grandchildren. She was an excellent cook and baker and found joy and happiness hosting many Italian feasts. Angeline was a long time member of Christ Our Savior Parish at St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Struthers.

Her husband of over 60 years, Lewis Bezjak, whom she married July 27, 1940 died April 30, 2000. She leaves her son, Lewis (Lucy) Bezjak Jr. of Struthers; nine grandchildren, Karen (Mark) Fabian, Christine Bezjak, Lewis (Sandy) Bezjak III, Raymond Jr., Corey and Lance (Jodi) Lucas, Danny (Dawn), Michael (Amber) and Kevin Ferry; and twenty-four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Angeline was preceded in death by two daughters, Joan Lucas and Gloria Ferry; two sisters, Theresa Esposito and Annette DiCiccio; two brothers, Tony and John Navy; and one grandson, Jimmy Ferry.

A service celebrating Angeline's life will be held Monday 11:00 a.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Poland with Pastor Reid Lamport officiating.  Interment will follow at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in Lowellville.

Friends will be received Sunday from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Monday from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home.

Angeline's family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the wonderful care that was provided from the staff at Woodlands Assisted Living, Hampton Woods and Hospice House.
