Andrew A. Russo

Andrew A. Russo, 89, of Boardman died Saturday morning November 25, 2017 at his home. He was born July 27, 1928 in Youngstown, Ohio, a son of Dominic and Antoinette Gaglione Russo and was a lifelong area resident.

Andrew was a 1948 graduate of East High School and had worked as a telephone dispatcher for Ohio Bell for thirty two years. He was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Church in New Middletown and had served in the Army.

Besides his wife of 63 years, the former Rosetta S. DeMichele, whom he married June 5, 1954, he leaves his daughter, Mary Ann Thompson of Boardman; two sons, Dominic A. Russo of Boardman and Mark J. Russo (fiancee Gina) of Austintown; three grandchildren, Brandon, Tommy, and Morgan Russo; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death five sisters; four brothers; and his son-in-law, Eric Thompson.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at St. Paul the Apostle Church in New Middletown with Father Larry Frient officiating . Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. before the services at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests material contributions take the form of donations to the church.

Arrangements are by the Davis-Becker Funeral Home in Boardman.
