Andrew J. Pastrick

Andrew J. Pastrick, 83 Struthers- Andrew J. Pastrick, 83, of 184 Overlook Blvd. died Friday morning at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Mr. Pastrick was born in New Castle, Pennsylvania December 1, 1920, a son of John and Anna Platko Pastrick. He was the Clerk for General Superintendent of the Brier Hill Works of the Youngstown Sheet and Tube Company for 30 years, before retiring in 1977. He was a Charter Member of the Struthers A.A.R.P. Mr. Pastrick was a veteran of the United States Army during WWII, where he received a purple heart and a bronze star. He was Past State Commander Department of Ohio Military Order of the Purple Heart and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 2 and the 76th Infantry Association He was a member of the Saint Nicholas Church in Struthers. His wife the former Anne Kmetz, whom he married May 5, 30, 1959, died in April 2000. He leaves two sons, Dr. Gregory Pastrick of Struthers and Dr. Ronald (Janet) Pastrick of Cincinnati, OH; and two grandchildren, Anna and Grace Pastrick of Cincinnati, OH. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Steve, John, and Michael Pastrick; and one sister, Anne Pavlik. Funeral services will be Monday 11:30 AM at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home and 12:00PM at the Saint Nicholas Church. Friends may call Sunday from 5-8 at the funeral home.
