Struthers - Amy Sue Pokopatz, 33 of Spring Street, died Saturday evening, November 28, 2009, surrounded by her family at the Hospice House in Poland, following a brief illness.
Miss. Pokopatz was born June 26, 1976 in Youngstown, a daughter of Charles Pokopatz and Karen Lewis Webb, and was a life long area resident.
Amy was a 1994 graduate of Struthers High School, and also attended the Mahoning County Joint Vocational School. She was a member of the High Pointe Church in Lowellville. During her years in high school she played softball for a local club in the area and enjoyed caring for children, especially her son and daughter. Amy loved listening to country music, and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
Besides her parents, she is survived by her daughter Jenna Fricker and son Jacob Fricker both of Struthers, her paternal grandmother Margaret Pokopatz of Poland, Twp.; two brothers, Rob Judy of Boardman and Eric Judy of West Virginia. two uncles, John "Butch" Pokopatz of Youngstown and Bobby (Lynn) Lewis of Austintown; two aunts Sharon Bowers of Austintown and Jane (Harry) Ringer of Washington, PA; three nephews, Joshua, Justin and Jonah Judy; one niece Jada Judy, numerous cousins, and her companion, Dan Fricker of Struthers.
She was preceded in death by her paternal Grandfather, John Pokopatz; and maternal grandparents, Robert and Betty Lewis, and two aunts, Jean DeLost and Susan Lewis.
There will be no calling hours.
The family would like to invite friends to attend a memorial service Thursday, at 10:00 am. at the High Pointe Church, 5716 Struthers Road. Lowellville OH 44436.
Amy's family would like to thank Dr. Mashburn and the nurses and staff at the Hospice House for all of there love and care given to her.

Arrangements are being handled by the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home in Struthers.
