Amy L. Fitchet, 54
BOARDMAN Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at the Davis-Becker Funeral Home for Amy L. Fitchet, 54. She passed away Thursday morning after complications from a life long battle with Crohn¹s Disease.
Amy was born Oct. 6, 1957, in Youngstown, a daughter of Helen A. (Smith) and George Franken Sr.
She was a 1975 graduate of Boardman High School, where she was a member of the choir, boosters and Y-teen clubs. She had worked at Fotomat as a sales person and route driver.
Amy made friends on-line worldwide as an Advocate for Crohn¹s Disease.
Surviving her is her husband, Thomas R. Fitchet, whom she married June 25, 1977; two brothers, Thomas McCloskey and his wife Lynne of Canfield and Robert McCloskey of Florida; and a sister, Jeanne Eakins of Boardman. Also surviving are 11 nieces and nephews and 18 great-nieces and nephews, including Jodi and Patrick Fernholz and their children, Shelbi and Spencer and Janeen Eakins and her children, Mason, Charles and Miranda Helen.
Preceding her in death besides her parents, was a sister, Margaret McCloskey.
Friends may call on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. and on Monday from 10 to 10:50 a.m., both at the funeral home.
