Boardman
Services will be held Tuesday 11:00am at Boardman United Methodist Church Chapel, for Alton Clifford Madden, 96 of Boardman. He passed away Saturday afternoon.
Mr. Madden was born April 30, 1915 in Wayne Township in Auglaize County, Ohio. He is the son of W. Henry and Rosa A. Bickel Madden. He was a sheet metal worker with W.H. Madden & Sons for over 50 years, retiring as owner in 1981.
He is a member of Boardman United Methodist Church for over 50 years.
His first wife the former Virginia Simko, whom he married Jan. 6, 1940 died March 4, 1976 and his second wife the former Connie Crowley Morgan, whom he married April 16, 1977 died Jan. 2, 1995.
Surviving him are his children, Joan (John) Schick, Cheryl Foley, Connie (Larry) Hoffman, Rick (Dee) Morgan and Jack Morgan. Eighteen grandchildren, Kelly Stachowitz, Kristie Shaw, Julie Carrigan, Stacey Hoffman, John Foley, John Shaw, Amy Kenney, Kim Greenburg, Erin DeCarlo, John Schick, Meghan Morgan, Todd Morgan, Jamie Hoffman, Robin Morgan, Jill Morgan, Kyle Morgan, and Katelynn Morgan. Also, 26 great grandchildren.
Preceding him in death besides his wives and parents is a daughter Ginny Lynn Shaw, a brother Leonard E. Madden and a grandson Scott Morgan.
Friends may call from 10-11am Tuesday at the church.
