Allie B. Willard, 90 Poland - There will be funeral services Wednesday, December 1, at 2:00 p.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Poland, for Allie B. Willard, 90, formerly of 70 College Street, who passed away Sunday afternoon of Alzheimers at The Blossom Nursing Home in Salem. Allie was born January 31, 1914 in Manchester, Kentucky, the daughter of Robert and Amilda Davidson Allen, and came to Struthers, Ohio at the age of three. She graduated from Struthers High School in 1932, and was employed by the Old Youngstown Sheet & Tube Company Co-Op Stores until 1936. She married Paul Willard in 1937 and moved to Poland in 1941, where she was employed by Lindners Poland Home Bakery. Allie was an avid golfer, bowler, bridge player and gardener, and was former president of The Pine-Lee Garden Club. She had been a member of the Poland United Methodist Church for 60 years, and for some years was a member of the Choir. She presently was a member of the Columbiana United Methodist Church. Allie is survived by her husband, Paul; a daughter Carol Truzzie of Columbiana; a granddaughter, Alexis Fuiava of Port Clinton, and a grandson, Bryan Truzzie of Colonial Heights, Virginia. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Margaret, four sisters, Bessie McDonald, Lena Randolph, Edna Panter, Esther Shields, and a brother Arthur Allen. A special thanks to the staff of Blossom Nursing Home, for their loving care and compassion. Visitation hours are Wednesday, from Noon until 1:45 p.m. at the funeral home. There are no calling hours this evening.
