Canfield - Alice Marie Sharpe Soccorsy, 76, of Canfield, died April 5, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Mrs. Soccorsy was born July 4, 1934 in Struthers, a daughter of Benjamin and Mabel Potter Sharpe.
She attended Struthers High School. Mrs. Soccorsy first worked in sales at the former Alfred Hammer & Sons Furniture Store, then as a program director of activities at the Beau Rivage Hotel in Miami, Florida, and retired from General Motors in Lordstown.
She leaves her husband, C. Ray Soccorsy, whom she married in 1993; four sisters, Marguerite Jonosko of Massillon, Gladys Kennedy of Houston, Della (Bob) Mines of Orangeville, and Mary Lou (Bob) Laird of Austintown; two brothers, Donald Sharp of Tampa and Paul (Anna Marie) Sharp of Liberty; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Hyzack; and five brothers, William, Wayne, David, Albert, and Ronald Sharp.
Services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home in Struthers. Interment will follow at Lake Park Cemetery.
Family and friends will be received Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family requests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions in Mrs. Soccorsy's name to a charity of the donor's choice.
