Alice Verna Kinsley

Struthers - Alice Verna Kinsley, 75 of Struthers, died Friday, April 1, 2011 at the Meridian Arms Nursing Home in Austintown.

She was born October 1, 1935 in Uniontown PA, a daughter of Amis and Maude Tressler.

Alice was a loving homemaker who enjoyed cooking and taking care of others. She liked puzzles, gardening, and watching TV, especially soap operas and westerns. As an experienced baker, she was known for her delicious pies, cakes, and dumplings. She was a member of the River of Life Ministries in Boardman, where she was a Sunday School Teacher and volunteered in the nursery. Alice also enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. She will be remembered for her caring, selfless and loving personality and warm smile.

Her husband, Harry Kinsley, whom she married October 3, 1952, died September 21, 1990.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna (Michael) Kachaylo of Myrtle Beach, SC; her son Bill Kinsley of Struthers; three grandchildren, Heather (Jim) Jackson of Garden City, SC; Jessie (Fiancé Dan Wright) Kinsley of Poland; and Dillan Kinsley of Austintown. She had four sisters and three brothers.

Besides her parents, and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Garry Kinsley.

Family and friends will be received Monday, April 4th from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Poland, where funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm.
