BOARDMAN- Alexsander Brown, 86, died early Monday morning, March 17, 2014, at Hospice House.
Alexsander was born June 14, 1927 in Trenton, Nova Scotia, a son of John and Mary Brown.
He came to the United States in 1962 to help raise his family. He worked for Steel Door as a welder for over 20 years. While growing up in Canada, Alexander loved to play Canadian Hockey and in the United States was a light weight boxer. He loved all sports and enjoyed watching them on TV. Alexsander's first wife, Ida Imlay, whom he married in 1952, died December 30, 1977. He leaves his second wife, the former Shirley Hart, whom married October 20,1992; three daughters, Mary Louise Neuberger of New Castle, Neva McDowell of Edinburg and Heather (Dave) Stoner of New Castle; eight grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents and first wife, Alexsander was preceded in death by his four brothers, Walter, John, William and Charles Brown; and one sister, Jean Brown.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday March 19th at 2pm at the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home in Struthers.
Family and friends will be received from 11:00am to 1:45pm at the funeral home.
