EDINBURG, PA - Albert “Red” C. Varchulik, 73, died on Jan. 9, 2018, at St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Albert was born on Feb. 15, 1944, in Bellevernon, Pa., a son of Anthony and Persis Rodibaugh Varchulik.
He worked in construction for most of his life for various different companies.
Red was of the catholic faith and was a former member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church. He also was a member of the Mahoning Sportsman Association.
Red was an outdoorsman, who enjoyed fishing, watching football, and spending time with his family.
Red is survived by his wife, the former, Lynn Kashubara, whom he married on Feb. 1, 1966; children Michael Varchulik of Youngstown, Wendy Lynn Varchulik of Campbell, John Varchulik of Utah, Derek (Rachel Ransom)Varchulik of Lowellville, and Jason (Jacqueline) Varchulik of Germany; one brother, Frank (Marie) Varchulik of Las Vegas; and grandchildren Gianna Ciccone, Primo Gentile, Angelina Gentile, Alaina Knable, and Delainey Knable.
He was preceded in death by both his parents.
Services will be held at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home, Lowellville Chapel, 244 McGill St., on Saturday at 1 p.m.
Friends and family will be received on Saturday from noon to 12:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
