MCDONALD - Albert I. Mason Sr., 80, died Wednesday afternoon at his residence.
Albert was born Dec. 8, 1929, in Waynesburg, Pa., a son of Jesse and Josephine Inghram Mason. He was raised in Waynesburg and moved to this area in 1950.
He worked for Copperweld Steel, retiring in 1993 after 30 years of service. Albert was a U.S. Army Veteran.
His wife, the former Donna Battison, whom he married in 1956, died in 1990.
He leaves three sons, Rick (Jan) Mason of Westerville, Albert I. (Tracy) Mason Jr. of Poland and John (Tammy) Mason of McDonald; two sisters, Evadean Walters of Warren and Janice Eucker of Fowler; four brothers, Louis Mason of Niles, Arlan Mason of Warren, Gene Mason of Austintown and Jesse Mason of Shreveport, La.; 11 grandchildren, Jonathan, Matthew, Andrew, Chad, Kyle, Leah, Lacey, Amber, Autumn, Summer and Scarlett; and one great-grandchild, McKenna.
Besides his parents and wife, Albert was preceded in death by two brothers, Melvin and Lloyd Mason.
Services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Cunningham-Becker Funeral Home in Poland with Rev. Rick Mason officiating.
Friends will be received Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
