North Lima - Albert J Holzwarth, 91, of North Lima, formerly of Petersburg, died early Thursday morning on October 9, 2014 at Caprice Health Care in North Lima.
Albert was born March 6, 1923 in Pittsburgh, PA, a son of Elmer and Rose Hokamp Holzwarth.
He enlisted in the United States Army and served in World War II.
Returning to this area, Albert worked as a machine operator for B.V. Manufacturing, an extrusion tool and die business, for 33 years retiring in 1989.
He was a member of the Washingtonville V.F.W. Post # 5532 and St. Paul the Apostle Church in New Middletown.
His wife, the former Betty J. Minehart, whom he married July 24, 1978, died April 27, 1999.
He leaves one sister, Marian Schreckengost of Kittaning, PA; and one brother, Louis Holzwarth of Chicora, PA; and several nieces and nephews,
Besides his parents and wife, Albert was preceded in death by his sister, Rose Marie Pennington; and brothers, Charles and Paul Holzwarth.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, 10:00 am at St. Paul the Apostle Church in New Middletown.
Family and friends will be received Monday 9:00-9:45AM at the church. Arrangements are being handled by the Davidson-Becker Funeral Home.
